Only what you send us, and the technical details every website receives.

When you ask for an estimate

Your name and phone number, your email address if you give one, where the work is, the service you’re asking about, and what you tell us about the job, along with the time your request arrived.

When you apply for a job

The job, your name, phone number and email address, your town if you give it, what you tell us about your experience, and your résumé if you attach one.

When you call, text or email us

Whatever you choose to tell us.

When our staff sign in

Signing in is for our staff. It works through a Google account or a link sent by email, so we receive the email address used and, with Google, the name and profile picture on the account. No passwords are stored.

On every visit

Like any website, the companies that host this one receive technical details with each visit — your IP address, your browser and device, and the page you asked for — and keep them in their logs for a limited time. We don’t add them to anything you send us. To stop floods of automated requests, we also count how many requests the forms have had from a network address in the last hour, as a scrambled code that can’t be turned back into the address, and delete the count within a day.

• To answer your estimate request: to email you that it arrived, if you give an email address; to call, text or email you about it; to come and look at the work; and to do it.
• To consider your job application and get in touch about it.
• To keep this website running and to filter out spam.

Asking for an estimate means agreeing that we may call or text you about your request, as the form says. Reply STOP to any text to stop them.

We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising. It reaches:

• Vercel, which hosts this website, and Supabase, which stores what you send us — estimate requests, job applications and résumés — and runs our staff sign-in.
• Resend, which sends this website's emails: our office's copy of your estimate request, and the confirmation we email you if you give an email address.
• Google Maps, which suggests addresses while you type into the estimate form's address box. Our server asks it, so what reaches Google is the text you have typed and nothing else.
• Google, through reCAPTCHA on the estimate and job application forms, which checks that a person rather than a program is filling them in.
• Google, when a member of our staff signs in with a Google account, and our email provider, when you email us.
• Anyone a job needs it for, when you've asked us to do that job — a city, for example, for a tree removal permit you want us to apply for.
• Anyone the law requires us to give it to.

The estimate and job application forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from automated spam. When you start filling in one of those forms, your browser loads Google’s reCAPTCHA code, which collects information about your device and how you use the page, sends it to Google, and may set Google cookies. Google’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and Terms of Service (opens in a new tab) apply to it.

Apart from that, this website sets no cookies for visitors and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Staff who sign in get the cookies that keep them signed in.

We don’t follow you over time or across other websites, so a Do Not Track signal from your browser changes nothing we do. Other than Google through reCAPTCHA on those two forms, no other company collects information about your browsing through this site. When the estimate form suggests addresses, it is our server that asks Google, not your browser. Links to other websites — maps, city permit pages, our social media profiles — take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

Estimate requests and job applications are kept as business records. Nothing deletes them automatically; if you want yours deleted, ask us.

To see what you’ve sent us through this website, correct it or have it deleted, call (925) 228-1010 or email office@hamiltontree.com. We’ll make sure it’s really you before we change anything, and we’ll tell you if there’s something we need to keep, such as the record of work we’ve done for you.

What you send travels over an encrypted connection. Only signed-in staff can read estimate requests and job applications — the database refuses anyone else — and résumés are stored privately and opened through links that stop working after ten minutes. No website can promise perfect security, but that is how this one is built.

This website is for adults arranging tree work or looking for a job, and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information; if you think a child has sent us something, call or email us and we’ll delete it.

When this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new effective date at the top.
